ICB Coffee Break at Bradley’s Bookshop

Meet up with the ICB for coffee and a chat in English every 1st and 3rd Friday of the month from 10 to 11:30am at Bradley’s Bookshop, 1 rue de la Merci in Bordeaux center.

This activity is open to everyone as a means of sharing our friendship and wealth of knowledge about our international lifestyle in Bordeaux. There is a play area for little ones if you wish to bring them along.

Whether you are new to the region, looking to fit in and find new friends, or have been here a good while and wish to have a chat in English and exchange with other internationals, please stop by and join in the casual conversation.

ICB/Utopia Afternoon Cinema Outing

  The ICB/Utopia Cinema Outing is open to everyone! Come enjoy an original version English language film with French subtitles with the ICB and practice your language skills.

Call Me by Your Name, is a 2017 coming-of-age drama film directed by Luca Guadagnino and written by James Ivory. Set in northern Italy in 1983, the film chronicles the romantic relationship between a 17-year-old living in Italy and his father’s 24-year-old American assistant.

The film has won multiple nominations and awards, including high praise for its young leading actor, Timothée Chalamet.

We’ll meet at Cinéma Utopia on the Place Camille Jullian in Bordeaux Center for the 15h00 séance.

Please allow enough time to purchase your tickets. Price: 7 euros.

ICB/Utopia Evening Cinema Outing

The ICB/Utopia Cinema Outing is open to everyone! Come enjoy an original version English language film with French subtitles with the ICB and practice your language skills.

Leon on Pete (or “la Route Sauvage”), is a 2017 British drama film directed by Andrew Haigh based upon the novel of the same name by Willy Vlautin. It recounts the story of a 15-year-old boy who works and lives on a rundown race track in Portland, Oregon, and befriends a failed race horse named Lean on Pete.

The film first screened at the Venice International Film Festival where it won the Marcello Mastroianni Award for Best Young Actor by Charlie Plummer in the lead role.

We’ll be meeting at Cinéma Utopia on the Place Camille Jullian in Bordeaux Center for the 17h15 séance.
